First of all, check out the medical transcription jobs on the website below.
Did you know there are practice tapes and CDs available for different specialties? You may not need a refresher course, if all you need is a terminology refresher. All on website. References : http://www.MedicalTranscription.com http://www.MTBrainstorm.com
Because of your experience, I would say you could get a job. You might try looking for a psych account first, but if you can't find one, search for radiology jobs. I'm not sure that you could get an acute care account since you don't actually have experience with that. Good luck! References :
I am a medical/legal/general transcriptionist. I am currently sub-contracting, but am not experienced in acute care. My experience is in clinic work. I am currently in U. S. Career Institute, taking classes and will graduate sometime this year with a certificate. However, when applying for work, I find I am over qualified for general transcription or under qualified for medical transcription. Any suggestions?
