With no experience but saying you will work for one of the national transcription companies that will hire newbies and say YOU ARE GOOD at transcription and say YOU CAN TYPE fairly fast and say YOU ARE DECENT AT using a computer and say YOU CAN FOCUS ON WORKING FROM HOME WITHOUT BEING DISTRACTED, you could make around the equivalent (since you will likely be paid on production per line) of $8 to $12 an hour. I have 13 years of experience and I'm currently making about $8 an hour typing. Of course that's mostly because it bores me to type 8 hours a day now and also because I'm worn out from typing. I know some companies who will hire newbies and pay you hourly while you are in their "mentor" program but I've heard that it is only minimum wage. It really depends on your quality, quantity, and what you consider to be a decent salary. But you have the "opportunity" to make anywhere from $8 an hour to $20 an hour depending on good you are and how fast you type. With experience under your belt and working what would be considered a full-day's production (1200 lines), you are likely to make 7 to 9 cents per line with the highest likelihood being in the low 7's and maybe around 8. I'm getting 8.5 cpl with 13 years experience and being certified. 1200 lines per day is considered the "average" for full time. 1200 lines per day times 8.5 cents per line equals 102 dollars a day for working 7-8 hours, that is $12.75 per hour.
References :
I don't know how much actual money you would make doing medical transcription but do know that most all companies was 2 years of outside before companies will let someone do it from home. But from what I have heard, the money can be good but don't what this means in dollar amounts.

I have a work from home website (listed in my profile) and the companies I have even listed want peopel with experience. I also belong to many work at home forums and people have stated this and have been upset to have taken medical transcription courses only to find out they need experience working in outside setting first before they can apply to companies who hire from home.

I just thought I should mention this to you since you are interested in doing this from home.
