I have an associate of applied science degree with a specialty in medical transcription. I got this degree at a technical college with the hopes of doing Medical transcription from home. I have had absolutely no luck finding anything and honestly I don’t really know where to look. Does anyone do this for a living…how did you get started?

I do this too and have been for the past 18 years. The only place I know of right now that offers in-home positions is called MAG Mutual Health Care Solutions, Inc. I was employed by them for a short time after they took over the on-site Transcription Department of the clinic where I worked.

At that time I wasn’t looking for in-home work so I rather quickly found an on-site position and took it. However, with gas prices being what they are now….I’m in the market for an in-home position again. MAG won’t do re-hires (or didn’t the last time I checked), so if you hear of anyone else available….let me know!!! ;o) and good luck with your search!!
