Where can I find an online Medical transcription training course?

I am wanting to do medical transcrition work at home. I have already took one class doing transcription. But I have found out that I need more than just the one class to do this kind of work.

Does any one know of any courses online that are good to take for this work?

There are the “big 3″ schools known in medical transcription circles. If you go to one of them you are pretty much gauranteed an at home job from one the the big employers like Spheris. There are ALWAYS and I mean always debates going on any of the medical transcription boards.

Try http://www.mtstars.com , do a search to find more they have about 5 big sites with forums. They are always talking about which schools are the best, arguing about it, etc. I can’t tell you the one I went to because I don’t want to be advertising but I will tell you I got a job right away.

Spheris http://www.spheris.com has an agreement with the schools to hire grads.

I have looked into one company and believe that it is a total scam. I have medical experience just not doing this and would love to get back into it but I don’t want to quit my job and I am having a hard time finding a company that will hire because the experience that I do have does not count.
